We have a very special bonus episode, and this bonus episode is with a guided meditation. Our guided meditation is led by Leo Flowers, also my boyfriend. I call him my other whole. He has just the great, amazing, soothing voice. For those of us who have had some loss in our lives or some grief, it can be lingering, especially in our subconscious mind when we’re sleeping. I thought it would be great to do some bonus episodes with meditations.

In this episode, Leo’s going to guide us through a meditation on grief and loss. Now, let’s turn it over to Leo Flowers to walk us through and guide us through our meditation. If this meditation resonates with you, feel free to save, like, comment, and share this episode with others and incorporate it into your daily routine. Save this link on your calendar. Leo, take it away.

After this meditation, go to ThriveWithLeo.com and get your five-step mental health protocol. Put in your email address and you’ll receive your five-step mental health protocol. Welcome to this guided meditation for grief and loss. During this session, we will gently explore the emotions of grief and allow ourselves the space to heal. Find a comfortable position in a quiet place where you can feel safe and supported. Take a deep breath and let’s begin.

Begin by taking a moment to ground yourself. Feel the weight of your body against the surface beneath you. Acknowledge any emotions that may be present without judgment. Give yourself permission to feel whatever arises during this meditation. Bring your awareness to your breath. Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, allowing your chest and abdomen to expand. Exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension or tightness. Repeat this process a few times using your breath to anchor you in the present moment.

Visualize yourself in a peaceful, natural setting, such as a serene forest or a calming beach. Notice the surroundings, the sounds, and the sensations around you. This place represents a sanctuary for your healing journey. As you embrace this space, bring to mind the loss you are grieving. It could be the passing of a loved one, a significant life change, or any other form of loss. Acknowledge the pain and sadness that accompanies grief. Allow yourself to sit with these emotions without trying to push them away.

Grief And Loss Meditation: Acknowledge the pain and sadness that accompanies grief. Allow yourself to sit with these emotions without trying to push them away.

Imagine that you are sitting by a gentle stream in this serene setting. The water flows peacefully, symbolizing the natural flow of emotions and the passage of time. As you watch the stream, visualize each emotion you are experiencing as a leaf gently floating downstream. Observe these emotions without clinging to them or resisting them. Understand that grief is a natural response to loss, and it is okay to feel the way you do. Allow the emotions to flow through you like the stream, trusting that they will gradually find their way to a place of healing.

Now, let’s focus on self-compassion. Place your hand over your heart and take a few moments to send yourself loving kindness. Repeat the following affirmations, silently or aloud. “I am allowed to grieve. I am worthy of love and healing. I am strong and capable of facing this pain.” In this safe space, imagine meeting the person or thing you have lost. Engage in a conversation with them, expressing your feelings, thoughts, and anything you left unsaid. Now that you are held at this moment and you have the opportunity to find closure and peace, exhale.

As we come to the end of this meditation, bring your attention back to your breath. Take a few deep breaths, inhaling strength and exhaling any remaining tension. Know that healing is a process and that it’s okay to take as much time as you need. When you’re ready, gently open your eyes. Take a moment to notice how you feel. Remember that you can return to this meditation whenever you need support in your journey through grief and loss.
